I'm here because I love food.

You're here because you love food.

For people like us, people who love making food from scratch in our kitchens, this is really OUR week!

It's basically a marathon week for me - make, bake, taste, repeat. As I prepare our home for guests on Thursday, my toddler has decided to do just the opposite (go figure!).

In case you're still struggling with what to serve on your dessert table this Thanksgiving or looking for a special breakfast treat for your family this weekend, here are the most popular recipes from the blog this week.

Pumpkin Muffins - This easy, simple, delicious recipe hit record numbers this year, with glowing 5-star reviews coming in every day.

Orange Cake - Made with freshly squeezed orange juice and oil instead of butter, this cake is easy for beginners and pairs well with cream, cranberries, or chocolate. Layer cake option available.

Lemon Tart - Like a lemon pie only simpler. Made using homemade lemon curd and stunning with a dollop of whipped cream.

We sang hymns while being surrounded by family, friends, and community. I learned from an early age that Christmas magic stemmed from love and spreading joy. I'd go home with so much anticipation of what Christmas morning might bring... an Easy Bake Oven?! Barbie dolls?! My very own camera?! A brand new Series of Unfortunate Events book?! My head swirled...

I'm not a huge fan of fully made or baked store-bought desserts because they're often loaded with preservatives or made with more chemicals and oils than I care to eat. Making your own desserts at home is not only more delicious, but it feels so satisfying when...
