โ Hi Reader, It's time to bust out one of my favorite seasonal ingredientsโmaple syrup! It adds such a warm, rich sweetness to everything it touches, from quick breads to cookies and everything in between. This week, Iโve gathered some of my favorite maple-flavored desserts to get you in the autumn spirit: ๐ Maple Banana Breadโ Why Real Maple Syrup? Not only does real maple syrup add an irresistible flavor to your fall bakes, but itโs also better for you than many other sugars!
Helpful TipsWhile embracing the natural goodness of maple syrup, remember that it adds moisture to your bakes, so you may want to reduce other liquid ingredients slightly to maintain the right texture. The above recipes have already taken this into account. Additionally, because maple syrup browns faster, you may need to lower your oven temperature by 25ยฐF or cover your baked good with aluminum foil to prevent over-browning while ensuring a fully baked center. Storing Maple SyrupOnce opened, real maple syrup should be stored in the refrigerator to prevent mold and bacterial growth. Since cold syrup is harder to pour, place the jar in a bowl of warm water to bring it to a pourable temperature. Happy baking! P.S. If you're on the lookout for holiday recipes, this Maple Bourbon Glazed Ham recipe is our family's favorite. |

Hi Baking Buddy! Part of what makes the holidays so special for our family is making loads of scratch-made goodies - from cookies to breads to breakfasts to candies... you get it... I make everything from scratch this time of year. I'm not a huge fan of fully made or baked store-bought desserts because they're often loaded with preservatives or made with more chemicals and oils than I care to eat. Making your own desserts at home is not only more delicious, but it feels so satisfying when...
